“…EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM…” Revelation 1:7

Signs of the Times

Today, everyday, we are one day closer to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ, The Messiah, The Son of God, The Lamb of God, The Savior of the world, The Redeemer of mankind. Revelation 10:6-7 declares, “And sware by Him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, should be time no longer: (He swore) But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when He shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished as He hath declared to His servants the prophets.”

Amos 3:7 states, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.”

We must be careful not to  despise prophecy as spoken in 1 Thessalonians 5:20, “Do not spurn the gifts and utterances of the prophets–do not depreciate prophetic revelations nor despise inspired instruction or exhortation or warning.”

Social media (Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, and etc.) allows us to receive and submit real-time information and news of all kind. Whether you  use  the aforementioned media or  turn on the radio, the TV, or read the newspaper, you will see the signs as recorded in the Bible (i.e. sickness/disease, global warming, pestilence, famine, hatred, and etc.  Also increased violence [wars] riotings, earthquakes, hopelessness and confusion). Isaiah Chapter 34, Daniel Chapter 7

God will not have us ignorant as to who He is, who we are, what he has done, is doing, and is going to do.

The Bible plainly states the events that are to take place preceding the 2nd Advent of Jesus Christ (see Matthew Chapters 24-25, St. Luke Chapter 21). The day of the Lord is coming. The heavens shall be destroyed by fire. The elements shall melt with fervent heat – 2 Peter 3:12

-We are looking for new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells –2 Peter 3:13

-Today the gospel is being preached to every tongue, nation to make ready a people prepared for the Lord  St. Luke 1:17

-The unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God – 1 Corinthians 6:9

  • Fate of the wicked – Psalm 9:17
    • Everlasting chains of darkness – Jude 1:6
  • Those that will have their part in the lake that burns with fire Revelations 21:8

What Shall We Do Then?

It is important that we believe and obey the counsel/instructions of the scriptures. Let us therefore, as believers:

-Watch and pray – Mark 14:38, Luke 21:36

-Be diligent – esteem highly, value, and  love others; Be busy, actively engaged, habitually devoted, painstakingly persevering doing the work of the Lord; Show steadiness, earnest care and hard work.  2 Peter 3:14

-Walk worthy of your calling, (as you are called by The Almighty, Sovereign God), with humility and meekness, and patience. Bear with one another in love; keep the unity of the spirit. Ephesians 4:1-3;  Luke 20:35, 21:36

-Do not forsake to assemble, meet, and gather together as believers are admonished to do in Hebrews 10:25.  We are being warned of the difficult times we will face, the spiritual struggles, anti-Christian forces, and persecution that we will encounter. As the difficulties arise we must make a greater effort to attend and be faithful to our churches and places of assembly.

-Labor, work, bless, be steadfast and immoveable –  John 6:27;  Ephesians 4:28; 1 Corinthians 4:12, 15:58

-Study, search the scriptures – 2 Timothy 2:15;  St. John 5:39

-Be zealous, use your gifts to build the Body – 1 Corinthians 14:12; Titus 2:14

-We must REPENT – Revelation 3:19; 2 Chronicles 7:14

We often focus on “pray, pray, pray”. However, 2 Chronicles 7:14 admonishes us to:

(1) humble ourselves; (2) then pray; (3) then seek His face… acknowledge Him at all times; (4) then turn from our wicked  ways … REPENT! God is seeking repentance. Then He will, in turn,  forgive our sins and heal our land.

-Stay (keep yourselves) in the love of God – Jude 1:21

God is revealing  His truths to His people everyday ; we need ears to hear

Revelation 2:7 3:6
